(Golden Charter) Funeral Plans

A selection of funeral pre-payment plans

The Traditional Plan £3655 (including £1215 for disbursements)

The most popular option, including:

  • Taking instructions and making all the necessary arrangements.
  • Providing advice and guidance with the registration of death and all relevant paperwork.
  • Provision of experienced personnel to carry out the funeral arrangements for a burial or cremation.
  • Dealing with the organisation of press notices.
  • Co-ordination of caterers, florists and any third parties on your behalf.
  • Collection and handling the distribution of any donations to the charity of your wishes and supply of charitable donations record.
  • On instruction from the family, transportation of the deceased into our care (within 20 miles).
  • Preparation and care of the deceased until the day of the funeral and use of the Chapel of Rest.
  • Appointments can be arranged through our helpful and sensitive staff during office opening hours, which are Monday – Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm
  • Supply of Bowness oak veneer coffin.
  • Hearse and limousine from home address to church/crematorium/Trevelyan Chapel and professional, compassionate personnel to conduct the funeral.

 

The Classic Plan £3280 (including £1215 for disbursements)

  • Taking instructions and making funeral arrangements.
  • Providing advice and guidance with the registration of death and all relevant paperwork.
  • Provision of experienced personnel to carry out the funeral arrangements for a burial or cremation.
  • Dealing with the organisation of press notices.
  • Collection of donations (distribution of donations to charity by family).
  • On instructions from the family, transportation of the deceased into our care (within 20 miles).
  • Preparation and care of the deceased until the day of the funeral and use of the Chapel of Rest.
  • Appointments can be arranged through our helpful and sensitive staff during office opening hours, which are: Monday – Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm
  • Supply of simple oak veneer coffin.
  • Hearse and professional, compassionate personnel to conduct the funeral and meet the family direct at the Crematorium.

 

Trevelyan Chapel Service £2876 (including £856 for disbursements)

  • Taking instructions and making funeral arrangements.
  • Providing advice and guidance with the registration of death and all relevant paperwork.
  • Provision of experienced personnel to carry out the funeral arrangements for a burial or cremation.
  • Dealing with the organisation of press notices.
  • Collection of donations (distribution of donations by family).
  • On instruction from the family, transportation of the deceased into our care (within 20 miles).
  • Preparation and care of the deceased until the day of the funeral and use of the Chapel of Rest.
  • Appointments can be arranged through our helpful and sensitive staff during office opening hours, which are: Monday – Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm
  • Supply of simple oak veneer coffin.
  • Trevelyan Chapel fee.
  • Suitable vehicle and personnel for direct cremation.

 

Direct Cremation £1387 (Including £457 for disbursements)

  • Taking instructions and making all the necessary arrangements.
  • Providing advice and guidance with the registration of death and all relevant paperwork.
  • On instruction from the family, transportation of the deceased into our care (within 20 miles).
  • Preparation and care of the deceased until the day of the cremation.
  • Supply of simple coffin.
  • Suitable vehicle and personnel for direct cremation.
  • Cremation fee (cremation only/unattended)
  • Doctor’s fee for cremation forms.

 

Disbursements

These are a contribution towards other expenses such as cremation or cemetery fees, doctor’s fee for

cremation certificate and minister’s fees – these are known as “disbursements” and are included in each plan. This is intended to cover most, if not all, of the usual disbursements, but please note that they are outside of our control and cannot be guaranteed. The amount included for disbursements will be stated on your funeral plan certificate and will be increased annually in line with the Golden Charter Trust. You can include a larger or smaller contribution towards disbursements if you wish.

ALL OF THE ABOVE PLANS INCLUDE A GOLDEN CHARTER ADMINISTRATVE FEE OF £285.00

 

A Personal Plan

A funeral is a very personal matter and many people have particular wishes. If none of the above plans suit your requirements, then please contact our office and we will prepare a personalised plan just for you, to allow for whatever services you require, for example a solid oak coffin, a cremation urn or casket, woodland burial, non-religious funeral etc. All calls are treated in confidence and you are under no obligation – we are here to help.
